Privacy Policy
Last updated October 1, 2026
This policy explains what General Automation Works (“General Automation Works”, “we”) collects when you use generalautomationworks.com or work with us, why we collect it, who processes it, and the choices you have. It is written to be read, not skimmed past.
1. Who this covers
This policy covers visitors to our website, people who contact us through it, people who complete our questionnaire (the PEOP, Personalized Efficiency & Operations Plan), and clients we work with. The systems we build for clients live in the client's own Notion workspace; the client controls that data, and this policy does not govern it.
2. What we collect
- Information you give us. Name, company, role, industry, team size, email, phone, and anything you write in a form or the PEOP.
- PEOP responses. Stored per respondent and shared with the respondent's employer, the company we are assessing.
- How you got here. Campaign tags in the link you clicked (UTM parameters) and the page you came from.
- Technical information. Our hosting provider records IP addresses and request logs to run the site and block abuse. We do not run analytics or advertising trackers today.
3. How we use it
- To reply to you, schedule the Assessment Call, prepare findings, and run the engagement if you become a client.
- To keep the site working and secure, and to limit abuse of our forms.
- If you give us a phone number, to call or text you about your request. Reply STOP to any text and we stop.
- To understand which pages and campaigns bring people to us, in aggregate.
We do not sell personal information. We do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not use your information to train AI models.
4. Who processes it
We run the business on a small number of providers. Each acts on our instructions and under its own privacy terms:
- Notion — stores leads, companies, and PEOP responses.
- Google — email and calendar for scheduling.
- Netlify — hosts the site and runs its forms and functions.
We may also share information when the law requires it, or to protect our rights, our people, or our clients.
5. Cookies and local storage
We do not set advertising or analytics cookies. The assessment form keeps your answers in your own browser's storage until you submit, so a refresh does not lose them; closing the tab clears them. If we add analytics later, this section will change and a banner will ask first, with non-essential cookies off by default.
6. How long we keep it
Leads and PEOP responses are kept while we are in contact and for the length of any engagement, then for up to two years so we can pick a conversation back up. Ask and we delete them sooner. Client work product is the client's and is handed over at the end of an engagement.
7. How we protect it
Access to your information is limited to the people who need it for your request. The site is served over HTTPS, and its forms run through server functions that validate input and limit abuse. We describe our practices honestly and do not claim certifications we do not hold.
8. Your rights
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act gives you the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to ask us to delete it, to ask us to correct it, and to not be discriminated against for exercising those rights. Because we do not sell or share personal information for advertising, there is no sale to opt out of. Residents of other states with similar laws have similar rights. To make a request, contact us using the details below. We will confirm your identity and respond within 45 days.
9. Children
Our site and services are for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
10. Changes
When we change this policy, we update the date at the top. Material changes to how we use information will be called out on this page.
11. Contact
Questions or requests about this policy: use the contact form on our homepage and we will reply within one business day.
